The 4th National KAIZEN Conference took place at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka on the 14th and 15th of February, 2013. The event was co-hosted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).

His Excellency Akio Egawa, Ambassador of Japan, was invited as a special guest. Eleven (11) companies and institutions (comprising 17 teams) participated in the Conference this year, and shared their experiences of KAIZEN practice. Productivity improvement through KAIZEN is expected to assist various Zambian industries to produce better quality goods and services, thereby increasing their competitiveness in the regional and global business environment
